We have an exciting term ahead of us already with lots of things planned.
This website will work along side seesaw and this is where I will post up what learning is happening in class each week, our weekly planning, resources we are using and anything else which might be useful.
This is so students can access work we are doing not only in class, but also at home so their learning can continue. This can also help parents, caregivers and whanau to support students at home with learning by seeing exactly what we are doing. Personal work and photos will be shared through seesaw.
Please check this site weekly so you can see what things we are focusing on in class each week. I updated it Sunday night, and add things throughout the week.
Work can be completed from here for homework or if your child is away sick and can't make it to school.
I am really looking forward to getting to know you and your child and are very excited about this year.
Please free free to contact me by email or seesaw if you have any questions or concerns.

Below is some links to things I will share with you to support our projects.
A pepeha is a way to introduce yourself. It is part of a mihi*. You explain where you come from
by looking back in time and connecting with your mountain, river, canoe and family.
*Mihi or Mihimihi – speeches, this is the formal speaking structure used during Māori meetings -
Pōwhiri (formal welcome), mihi whakatau (less formal welcome), a round of introductions or speeches.
Book layout expectations:
- Date is written in blue pen
- Long date is used. E.g 31 March
- Date is underlined using a red pen and a ruler
- Worksheets and text should be glued flat if can, otherwise only folded once
- Please make sure worksheets are not hanging out of you book- they may need to be trimmed
- Pencil can be used for drawing diagrams or tables, otherwise you should always be writing in blue pen
- If you make a mistake just draw a line through it using your blue pen and ruler
