Each day we will have a class zoom hui so I can go through what work we have for the day and you can ask questions if you have any. It will be at 9.15am. I will also have movies uploaded to help explain the tasks.
I suggest you plan to complete your reading, writing and maths lessons in the morning then look at art, PE and science or personal inquires in the afternoon, however you need to do what suits you and your family best. I have an outlined plan for you to do if this suits your family. I have our morning hui and roll call the same time each day and the group teaching times the same time each day so we can get a routine happening. If these times do not suit you please let me know.
Remember you have your yellow book for any writing/ reading task you have plus your maths book to complete your work in. Please make sure you set these books up just like we do in class with the date, WALT, and reflection.
It is really important that each day you upload any work you have done to seesaw, even it if is not completed yet. This is they only way I can see it and give feedback and support you with your learning. Either take a photo of your bookwork or take screen shots on your ipad when you have completed some tasks. However you can please just share with me! This will also help me plan ahead so I know what students have completed and what next steps you all have.
The weekly plan is below for this week however this may change depending how it all goes which is why we will start each day with a class hui on zoom.

Morning Must Do's......
The first time you log in it will prompt you to complete a test so it can create a learning pathway that targets you next steps. This will be you task for Wednesday please. Please take a screen shot of this when you have completed it and share on seesaw so I know you have done it.
You will need to go to the link, then use our class log in below to get in. Then once you are in our class you will need to use your user name (google classroom user name from school) and then your password is you Lynstu#....... with your number. If you can't remember this you need to message me on Wednesday and I will let you know what it is.
If your device will not let you on this app please just do study ladder or Lalilo as some older i pads might not work but please all give it a try. If you end up waiting for me to get your password to you if you have forgotten it you could also do epic reading.
Maths- Everyday
Each day your first task is to complete the number of the day. In your book please put the date, then number of the day. See the example - photo. Write the question you are working out, miss lines between questions and always start with the date. Take a photo each day after your have marked your work and share on seesaw. This way I can see what everyone can do and what next steps we might need to cover. |

Below is a link to a near pod lesson. We have not used this site yet in class but it is a great interactive way for me to create reading lessons for you. Watch the clip and it will help explain what to do. You do not need to write anything down in your book just complete the questions as the pop up while doing the lesson. Please make sure you put in your correct names as I get all the results once you have completed it. Please also take a screenshot of the last slide when you finish and share this on seesaw so I can also see that you have completed it. I hope you enjoy it!
Can you collect some data from the people in your bubble. Can you look at their pulse rate in the morning when resting then standing, then do the same in the afternoon? You could do this for everyone in your bubble. Create a google doc to tally up your data, or write in directly in your maths book. Once you have this collected this data research ways data can be displayed- what graph would be best? Then compare it and analysis it. What does it tell you ?
I have made a teaching slide below which we will do in our groups on Thursday to make sure before you start this work you are all clear on the task.

For our lesson you will be teachers as well as writers; specifically, you will write to teach others HOW to do something.
Goal: The goal for your writing is to share your fascinations, something you are interested in or are passionate about knowing how to do.
Purpose: The purpose of the first session is to gather and to organise your ideas - a quick write if you like. We will revise and shape the texts in our next sessions when we focus on specific features of the text structure
