Gee this term is flying!
Below is our mahi for the week. We have been practicing a few tools to use if students need to be at home but I am also just keeping things as normal as possible at school. I think the students are all doing really well with what is going on.
The link to your child's PEP will be shared with you on seesaw this week if I haven't already sent it. Please read over this draft copy I send with you child and add any comments. These meetings will be done online. Some parents have said they would like to hold off and meet me in person when everything settles down. If you would like to do a Zoom session for the PEP, please follow the instructions in the school newsletter and I will send you a code via seesaw before our meeting. I am also happy to ring you during the time you have booked also if this is easier. We are trying to be as flexible as possible during this time. Please just let me know what suits you best.

Stimulus:
- Inquiry - students have been researching Native birds and also learning about the annual favourite bird competition in NZ and what the purpose of this competition is
- Persuasive writing- select which native bird you feel should win this competition and persuade someone else to vote for it
We are learning to take a stance on an issue and to justify our opinion
